Doxycycline
He says the side effects are more tolerable than with other pills. He also says to "try before you buy" in other words - take the pills for a few days a while before we leave to see if you are bothered by side effects, then you can change before we leave if you are!

It is really important to do this soon because most malaria medications need to be started two weeks before we leave. Also, this doxy stuff can't be combined with typhoid pills because it is an antibiotic.... so get on it all of you :P
